Personal Information

Honor the triumphs of our Founding Fathers in the pursuit of independence.

The American Founding is the greatest political achievement in history. The American colonists had developed a unique way of life as they practiced self-government for 150 years. In the struggles between colonies and mother country that followed the French and Indian War, Britain declared that the Americans had no right to rule themselves. Our ancestors fought the Revolution, risked their “lives, fortunes, and sacred honor,” and formed a stable government to secure that right to themselves and their posterity.

In "Revolutionary America: From Subjects to Citizens," learn about the growing tensions between the colonies and Britain, the battles and bloodshed on American soil, and the debates that lead to the formation of the Constitution.
